Nepal’s Antique Railway Workshop

Nepal Railways Corporation Ltd. (NRC) started on 16 February 1927.  Abandoned Khajuri Workshop in Janakpur consists of steam engines that are about a century old. The Workshop is like open museum itself. As Nepal is reviving its railways operation theses antique assets are forgotten and abandoned by people and Government. These photos are taken in 5 November 2014. In 2014, the last operating railway “Janakpur to Jayanagar” of Nepal Railways was closed. Khajuri Workshop is part of that Janakpur to Jayanagar railways section. Click on the photo for slideshow.
